Maintenance and cleaning of boxing gloves:

• After a long training session, it is normal for your boxing gloves to be covered in sweat, which, if not properly cared for, can cause an unpleasant odor. Many people put their gloves directly into their bag after training without cleaning them. Here are some tips to keep your Muay Thai gloves clean and extend their lifespan:

• Use a leather-friendly cleaning solution, apply it to a soft cotton cloth, and wipe the outside of your gloves. Remove excess solution with a paper towel. Do this after every training session to keep your gloves looking like new.

• Dry your gloves with a fan or air blower, especially the inside of the gloves that may contain sweat and bacteria. Avoid putting your gloves directly into your sports bag right after training, as sweat can promote bacterial growth and cause an unpleasant odor.

• Do not wash your gloves in the washing machine and do not put them in the dryer. This can damage the texture of your gloves and affect the foam that cushions the gloves, shortening their lifespan.
