Exactly what you need. We designed the Sanabul Essential Jiu-Jitsu Gi to set the standard for what you can expect from a BJJ gi, whether this is your first Jiu Jitsu gi or an addition to your current collection. Quality construction, sleek design, and incredible value make this Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gi the #1 Best Seller in the industry.
Premium fabric. Most brands use a blend of polyester and cotton to save money. We do not. Sanabul gis are made from 100% cotton, which is more expensive, but worth it because it does not stretch during training and breathes better.
Pre-shrunk. You no longer have to guess whether to buy a size up. If it fits perfectly out of the bag, just wash it in cold water and hang it to dry. Want to shrink it anyway? You can! Wash it in hot water and throw it in the dryer to shrink it to the perfect fit.
Lightweight & Durable. We combined lightweight, breathable fabric with a durable weave construction to create the perfect gi for training year-round.
IBJJF approved options. We released three new colors (black/gray - white/silver - and blue/baby blue) and the white, royal blue (not navy blue), and black color variants of the Essential BJJ gi that are IBJJF approved due to the solid color pants and the 380 GSM fabric.
The A2 size of a Jiu Jitsu Gi typically corresponds to a Size L (Large). Here is a general guideline for Jiu Jitsu Gi size conversions:
A0: S (Small)
A1: M (Medium)
A2: L (Large)
A3: XL (Extra Large)
A4: XXL (Double Extra Large)
However, the exact size may vary depending on the brand, as size designations are not the same everywhere. Therefore, it is always good to consult the specific size chart of the brand. You can find that with the images.
