Boxing Gloves Size Chart

Use this boxing gloves size chart to choose the right size based on your hand circumference and body weight. This ensures safe, comfortable, and effective training, whether on the heavy bag, with pads, or during sparring.

Fighter Weight	General Use	Sparring	Hand Circumference
<40 kg	6–8 oz	-	<16 cm
40 – 50 kg	8–10 oz	-	16 - 20 cm
50 – 64 kg	10–12 oz	14–16 oz	20 cm
64 – 75 kg	10–12 oz	14–16 oz	20 cm
75 – 86 kg	10–14 oz	14–16 oz	22 cm
86 – 98 kg	12–14 oz	16 oz	23 cm
98 – 109 kg	12–16 oz	16 oz	24 cm
109 – 122 kg	14–16 oz	16–18 oz	25 cm
122+ kg	16–18 oz	18 oz	27+ cm

Tips for choosing the right size:

Measure your hand circumference without wraps, just below the knuckles. Not too tight, not too loose.
For sparring, 14–16 oz is commonly used, or 16–18 oz for heavier fighters.
For bag or pad training, a lighter size can be chosen for more speed and flexibility.
Pay attention to brand and model: some gloves run smaller or larger. Always check the product description.
Some models require a "break-in" period. This means they may feel stiff at first, but will become softer and more comfortable as you train.
For kids using 10 oz or less? Focus on hand circumference. Children don’t spar to the head and punch with less force.
